Seasons

Her love is but the ever-changing season,
waning from heated summer passion,
to dormant winter- void of all reason,
only to reappear to flaunt endless compassion.

Ceaseless compassion commenced by coming spring,
as winter's grasp begins to withdraw,
and Heaven's occupants boastfully sing;
their songs resounding without a flaw.

The iridescent light of the her eyes,
does capture the majestics of the night,
and the beauty contained in summer skies,
as butterflies boast their pride in first flight.

Drifting over the hearts of wildflowers that have emerged,
from winter's barren lifeless wonder,
now basked in summer's beauty so that death may be purged,
and hearts no longer be torn asunder.

As does the cool crisp breeze of fall,
does whisk away the pride bore by trees,
that once stood so boldly tall,
but now subside like waves of the seas.

Yet even as she begins to fade away,
she radiates of unmatched beauty,
as Autumn's vibrant colors turn to gray,
and yields way to death's duty.

But just as the sun fades from view,
it is known that she shall rise again,
that even though our love is through,
it will return better then it has ever been.
