The Bridge Across My Sorrows There I stand on the bridge between The past and all of my tomorrows, So painful where I have been On the bridge across my sorrows. Tears create a river that runs rife Of memories etched within my soul so deep, As I see my reflection in the womb of life That makes ripples as I weep. It supports me there to heal me some, Helping to deal with my fears Then shows me how far I have come From those haunted yester-years. Now each day I come to reflect An existence which follows The thoughts that I collect, On the bridge across my sorrows. |
