A rare precious glimpse is all I get these days Of the truth within me, within my gentle soul Youth saw my soul pure, not mixed in shades Not hidden under life’s brittle protective mould As a child innocence of life allowed me to be me Oh how I long to be that true soul of love again Unmeasured by the shallow fools of humanity With eyes that still see being for today, as beauty A whole springtime world of promise to behold Peace in solitary moments as I fly with the dove Letting slip, the china facade while cares unfold Soul escaping to drift lazily in sky dreams above Years have painted fine details upon my soul mask See the perfect steady lips and questioning brow ? Effectively erasing softness and spirit is it’s task Almost snuffing out the remainder of my souls glow Occasionally though, in pockets of rare peace time, Life’s traffic stops long enough to take flight again I escape briefly from beneath the mask of great lies My truth bounds for the freedom of this other plain That’s when I know that my spirit is not truly lost I am in wrapped in the discovery that I can be free Knowing that when the mask is too high in cost I can shatter the china and let myself become me |

awww thanks barb, romantic and noah. This one is from deep down and is the truth in my heart. I love to spend those rare moments deep in a world without pain and suffering and at one with nature and my real unmasked self. hugs and many many thanks as always for your reactions and comments june x |
