January winds
Frigid, indiscriminate
Wind chimes shiver too!

Hostile Artic front
Assaults both body and soul
Of man and machine

Scraping is defied
Frost clings to the windshield glass
As my skin reddens

Lovely, Dennis.  We have had our two days of winter here and are on the upswing towards spring.  I hope.  Joyce

June,
Thanks for the kind words and sharp eye (I made the edit you suggested)

Ellie,
Thanks once again for the generous words (blushing). P.U.Y.M.S.

Joyce,
I envy you, I don't expect to see Spring until April (sigh...brrr)

Dennis~
ALWAYS a pleasure to read you~

Today Florida felt the chill ... but at least it goes away quickly~

AND ... there are still roses in bloom in the rose garden~
Stay warm~
