The Key Lime Sky

One day while I was baking a pie
I stopped and looked way up high.
My limes all turned to dazzling blue
And the sky above to something new.
Key Lime was the sky. I was confused.
I turned on the TV waiting for news.
Then all of a sudden I had the crust
To think I’d gone daffy. That was a must.
Clouds started looking a lot like meringue
Then all of a sudden thunderheads sang.
After the storm, the sky turned blue.
Now about these limes, I haven’t a clue.
