A Hint of Wilderness

Beyond the sloping lawn and trees,
Lies a lake that opens wide.
There, geese who wander as they please,
Search reed beds where the insects hide.
The breeze that laves our house of logs,
Is full of water scents and more.
A hint of wilderness and bogs,
That stretch far from our rustic door.
I often think I'd like to go
Exploring in the vast unknown,
But here,I'm safe and warm and loved
And I am lazy to the bone!

Lovely Betty.  No need to wander when you already have it all. Love, Joyce

Denise:  It's been 27 years since I have lived in a town of any kind and I wonder how it would be for me now!  Some day I will probably have to move to the city, but I do love this country life. Thanks!

Simple, elegant, and brilliant! Can't get much better than that! Fine job

We spend our whole lives trying to live, only to realize that we don’t know what life is truly about until it is too late.
