God spoke to me the other day
In quite an unexpected way
Revealing to the depths of me
That I create the misery
Of soul whose shackles won’t let go
Preventing purest love to flow
To those about me most in need
Of hope and peace, a planted seed,
Of faith, at least, a future bloom
To praise His name, dispel the gloom
That permeates the wounded heart.
His mercies grant a fresh new start,
To be His eyes, His hands, His feet
Along the way to those I meet.
In quite an unexpected way,
God spoke to me the other day.

there is a power out there,,that stirs the cauldren of life, mixes fate and fantasy,,and reminds us everytime a mistakes takes us a wrong way,,,,,god?  if thats the name you wish to give it,,,,,so be it.
heating a voice of reason, a voice of concern,,,,pain at the sight of a wrong,,,,that is where "god" is,,,,,but,,,,,who listens,,,

I wish all could find the true happiness I have found,,in the eyes of Mike

To close this beautiful season of *gifting* with such a lovely Sonnet from you is to awaken to the sight of Santa having REALLY filled the poetic stocking to the brim~

Love it ... and love you~

Thank you, girls, glad you enjoyed it. It's the first poem I've written in about 2 years, it kind of surprised me when the words started coming...hope it's not another 2 years until the next one because I really enjoy writing, but I can't force it...it just doesn't seem to work that way for me. Oh well, thanks again for the feedback!

Love and Hugs,
Denise

Denise...

This is quite a lovely verse. I, too, hope that the creative urge strikes more often as you are very gifted.  Thank you for sharing this with us.

Denise, of God really spoke to you, I have little doubt His words would be "Well done!"

You BETTER not make it another two years!!!

so lovely Denise...a quote from a dear friend to me "in our brokeness we can still go and heal the hearts of others"..you write so beautifully...hugs, Ellie

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Denise, you have found in this verse a fountain of answers that streams from the depths of your soul.  Some may not be visible to you right now, but I believe they will be revealed in His time.  Your fountain is what you will reveal through your written word - and therein lie the answers.  Don't ever stop writing... even if only in your heart.
Shereen.
