These are the jewels
of the mind:
Memories.

In solitary blackness,
the burning
of a single

Light, images
seared into
the heart;

this is Michael's smile,
a shimmering corona
of an eclipsed sun.

On a lonely night,
shaded landscapes
lunge to life,

in his verses sung
from his sister's
sweet voice.

A quasar pierces
it's response, "I
am remembered!"

This is the realm
of his mother's
love.

Full of God's sparkle
in his valentine
grin.,

An uneven halo
sailing above
the moon:

his star the one
he sang to
as a boy.

This light shines
for as long as
his

brothers' sons
and daughters
carry the light.

These are the
gifts of the
spirit:

In the aquamarine
morning, a last
glimmering star.

As it fades in the
glare of the Winter's
rising sun,

A bell licks out
it's loneliness
on the canyon,

Michael smiles again.
And says, " I am
Remembered!"

So sad. Bows head, and prays...I sense all who knew him ..their lives were richer for having known him. My heart goes out to his mother. Send her all good thoughts, and best of love from SharaRose in Texas.
Love,
Terri~

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Jesse, I am so sorry of your brothers passing seven years ago, dearest friend, I just read your memorial page and know with all your golden heart Michael won't be forgotten and I wish you and all your loved ones the best in promoting your support and prayers for other HIV and AIDS victims and that together we can find a cure, and with the spirit of Michael faith exists! (sad sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, you are in my thoughts and prayers as all children worldwide are, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jesse, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Jesse~
You KNOW this touches my heart ... as Pat is such a dear friend of mine~
Her love for Michael is so evident ...
her loss of him so poignant~
Mother's are love ... Michael is remembered and loved~

Thank you for sharing this and for sharing Pat's site too~

Thank you Nancy, Terri, Noah and Marge.

Patricia and Patty read this and I am happy that they know about this poem too.  They really do want him remembered...it is the greatest fear that he won't be.

It makes me so mad when I read of things like this. That poor boy and his family, these suppliars know the misery they cause but are far too greedy to care. This is a beautiful tribute Sparticus. Maggie

Dear sweet thing, I am moved and sorrowed by your beautiful tribute to Michael. So many vibrant and wonderful people taken by a disease that robs them of their life.

However, thank God for people like you and your family who can bring light to those who do not understand.
