"Fame" Is My Name He growled, and he snarled And swatted the air. My mouth dropped wide open; Up went my hair! I was so fearful While glued in my tracks. As my knees knocked together, My breath came in racks! He glared, wild-eyed, As he stalked through the room. Then I swiped and swung At him with a broom. Adrenaline flowed; I was bold as I fought. He became very nervous, Afraid he'd get caught. Doom weighed on him; His heart became heavy. He surrendered and then Threw down his machete. He ran to the east Then out of my house That vicious, gigantic Little brown mouse. I rose to my victory- Truly so proud And signed autographs For the gathering, awed crowd. Barb Gedman 11/29/03 |
