WE WALKED TOWARDS THE BEACH IN HURRIED STRIDES
AFRAID WE WOULD MISS THE PERFECT TIDE
THE HOT SANDS LICK MY FEET
BUT I WAS NOT ABOUT TO ADMIT DEFEAT
ME WITH THE FISHING ROD, MUCH LONGER THAN ME
AND YOU WITH THE WEIGHTY COOLER BANGING YOUR KNEE
WHEN FINALLY WE REACH THAT CERTAIN SPOT
WE STARE AMAZED AT THE ENDLESS OCEAN
POURING ON THE SUNSCREEN LOTION
THE GOLDEN SUN SMILES BACK AT ME
AS SEAGULLS WHISTLE AND DIVE FOR THE SEA
I NEVER GET TIRED OF THE SIGHTS AND SOUNDS
OF THE SALTY SEA AIR WHERE LIFE ABOUNDS
MANY MEMORIES ARE WRITTEN IN THE SANDS
SOME IN THE MOONLIGHT
WHERE HARBOR LIGHTS AND BOATS APPEAR
AS THE MOON LULLS A WHISTLE BLOW
TOUCHING THE EMBERS OF HEART AND SOUL
SOME UNDER THE SUN
WITH LAUGHTER AND FUN
BUT ALL OF THIS IS THE REASON WHY
I TRUELY LOVE THE DEEP BLUE SEA

(smiles) Yay! Oh Donna, I love this, sweet friend, I'm going to move to Portland in May of 2005, the closest to the ocean I've ever been as far as a home is concerned, and I'm so excited for Costa Rica next year! (kiss on cheek) God Bless You, sweet friend, I love this, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Donna, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Deb:  Sounds like a perfect day by the sea, fishing and picknicing! You are fortunate to live close to the sea!

Thank you all for your nice comments.
I live about 30 miles from the ocean so it's a place I have visited often.

BloomingRose~
I greatly enjoyed the poem~

I did find the ALL CAPS a bit distracting~
Don't think I've ever seen you use them before~

Thanks again everyone...
Marge you are right, I don't usually use all caps. I don't know why I did this time, but I agree it is a bit distracting.
Thanks for the input.
