Last night I dreamed of youthful days, when all the world was new. The faces of the long ago were there for me to view. Old friends appeared to me again, we chatted for awhile. I recognized their voices, their laughter and each smile. And he was there, my first love, with his beloved touch. He hadn't changed, I felt the same, as when we loved so much. This morning I awakened to a pillow wet with tears. I've been taking flowers to his grave, for over thirty years. Some whom I had dreamed of, had left without a trace. The others had gone on before, their judgement call to face. Why did I dream about them, why were they sent to me? Did they each bring a message, something I need to see? Perhaps God sent them as a gift, to show that they still care. When it's time for me to join them, I will find a welcome there. Joyce: Very touching poem. Dreams are such stange things aren't they? Sometimes it does seem as though there is a message in them. Betty Lou Hebert |

Those dreams are to be cherished. They remind us of the love. Very touching, Joyce. |

Nicely done Joyce. Sometime the subconscious knows best our need for comfort. "As soon as the generals and the politicos can predict the motions of your mind, lose it." Wendell Berry |

I really liked this one. I think the older we get.. the more concious we become of our own mortality... at least I do. Thank you for a wonderful dream sequence filled with imagery. I really enjoyed it. |
