When I Looked In Your Eyes That first day when I saw you and I looked into your eyes It felt like for the first time I had ever seen the sky I felt like every dream I ever wished for just come true I felt like every answer I had asked for now I knew I gazed a little deeper and I saw a million stars I looked into your heart and I could see the many scars I felt like now I finally knew where all my truths reside It seemed like I could feel the pain of every tear you cried I now could see that all the happiness I’d ever know Was locked behind the windows that revealed your very soul That somehow seemed to glimmer like two candles in the night Shining brightly as their secrets twinkled in delight Shimmering their passion in a language we both knew Sparkling like glitter as the gentle breezes blew I tried to look away but something told me not to go My heart began to flutter and your face began to glow I came a little closer as your eyes began to smile Your gaze was so embracing as it held me all the while Our lashes now commingling in some kind of lover’s dance Our eyes now fixed upon each other locked in their romance My eyes were telling yours that if you ever left my side That all the love I’d ever have would shrivel up and die I kissed your lips and held you close and never let you go Our hearts now shared a beat that only lovers ever know Our worlds had now collided in a flash of brilliant light Our destiny would keep our love forever shining bright I finally saw the reasons why I never compromised I finally found my one true love when I looked in your eyes [This message has been edited by Richy (09-26-2003 12:54 PM).] |

wow richy !!!!! such romance !! this is an incredibly beautiful and romantic poem. I think it would make a great song too.   (big hugggssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, this brought tears to my eyes because I truly believe the eyes are the windows of the soul too and when you see a loved one cry in joy, or see the silky reflection of yourself in their eyes, you can feel true love and that makes you cry in joy too! Richy I thought that this verse was the best description of "lovers light" ever!
