Beggar Days

Back in old times,
In the alley,
I used to be on
The street kneeling.

Begged for money,
Begged for mercy,
I was once a
Kid runaway.

Graduated,
Grade 10,
I begged for a job,
Yet no door opens.

I ran away and met some guys.
They said they were going to teach me life.
And I guessed they did.
They taught me how to be a clown,
Performing at night in places I didn't know.

For a few weeks,
Life seemed not so bad, I got a bed with some white rice.
Yet life likes to play jokes.
When I was useless to those people,
They left me behind.

I had wished to go home.
Yet I didn't have money, and I got no face.
I got no face to face my parents.
I got no money, not even for a call.

I was a kid never loved school.
Now I wished I was in school,
Yet everything seemed come to late.

Yet I, was lucky,
I found a coin to dial to police.
When the dial gone through,
My smile jump out my heart.

Yet I, didn't know where I was.
I told the police I got no money.
They said, never-mind,
Dial zero, we would take call.

I thought God must have heard
My cries caused not long later,
A police found me, waiting on the street.

Side Note: This is fiction
