Turn About Shufflin through, gettin barely by head bowed with lifes heavy load. Day after day like pennies in a jar feelings smothered, never to explode. Grey world a familiar companion only laughter, at others stumble. On safari inside a personal cloud hacking away at benevolent jungle. Oh joy! Where have you been? I have awakened! didn’t even realize you had gone! didn’t know where you had gone! didn’t understand you had gone! Then it literally hit me I had lost my joy! Oh joy! Where have you been? I have awakened! to stop and smell the roses! to laugh with abandon! to hold my lovers hand! Sweet, secret smiles I have found my joy! Odd how one becomes aware almost like a lightning trident. Explosion of consciousness one moment unknown, the next vibrant... Tramp Poet: |

Wonderful poem. We must never lose our joy. Sometimes it just gets covered up. Joyce |

I'm so glad that you have "joy" in your life once more and hope it never goes away again! Betty Lou Hebert |

Excellent expression, Daniel. It's so easy to lose sight of that joy. So easy. We can be in that fog for so long and not even realize it. Great writing! |
