Interruptions

I've had a little interlude
Where I let other things intrude.
I've had not one lyrical thought
Or if I did, I soon forgot.

I find I need to be alone,
No callers or a ringing phone
For any inspired lines to flow,
That into poetry could grow.

So if you see no posts from me,
Just know I'm busy as can be.
My poems on life must wait a bit
While I'm enthralled with living it.

Joyce: Are you sure your new dog is not taking up so much of your time, you have put aside your writing? LOL They are a distraction and especially while you are getting acquainted.

Yes I'm afraid that's it. Indoors she is a sedate well behaved dog. Outside she is a wild puppy and I have to watch her every minute. Joyce
