* * * The day is over All the worries are left behind My tired shoulders People saying that I am blind… I close my ears And knock at my friend's door There I find my shelter Like many times before. He turns on the music And offers me a drink He quietly listens To all the troubles I bring. There is a bed ready In case if I wanna stay There is a breakfast For me to eat the next day. His pals come over And stay with us sometimes And I feel better Because they are cool guys. I can be open Among the people I love When the world goes crazy When life is tough. He is always there When I need a ride He is always there When I need a guide. When I am broken He always gives me a hand When I am down I know he understands. Sometimes we get together And don't even talk In comfortable silence We take a walk And watch people And enjoy summer day And feel friendship That will always stay. And I feel happy When I realize That I was so lucky To meet some great guys Who became my brothers On the way I chose Who may be not here now But who are always close. Our blood is blended Once and for lifetime Hot, and brave, and loyal Till the day I die. ...somos los locos para siempre |

This was nice. Good for you!! It's comforting to know you can be at your worst, and someone will still be there for you. Wonderful write. I have found this, too, and I know just how comforting this is when the world seems to be so cold. Very sweet write! SharaRose @-->-- Of sound, and speech let all lift the hearer! |

This is a lovely poem. It is said that you can count true friends on the finger of one hand so you are lucky .Maggie |
