Love struck a match
Slowly uniting
The kindling
Catching the logs on fire
The flames flickered gently
Warming hearth and home

Hate struck an angry match
Pouring an accelerate
Onto the glowing logs
Blue flames whipped
And swirled
Violently
Consuming
With severing heat
Until nothing but
A pile of
Red hot ashes
Upon the hearth
Did lay
Turning slowly gray
Waiting
For the ghost of
Cinderella
To sweep them away
