Coming Home I’m tracing back the road I’ve roamed At last I will be coming home My heart still dwells within the place Of buttercups and Queen Ann’s lace I miss the green of rolling hills The sound of August locust trills The daisy meadows, maple shade And memories that never fade I’m coming home to rose of red A vision on the road ahead Through mist of morning I can see The sprawling oak and holly tree I will be there in Autumn’s wake To see the candles on his cake To see his smile, a mouth uplift The joy of opening a gift It’s never lost and never late The chance to softly demonstrate The love for child, the seeds you’ve sewn The need for peace of heart and home I long to open up the door To sounds of joy and love once more To see what change has come about To watch him blow his candles out There still is time, it’s not too late Though life has spun a change of fate The road is long, but up ahead I think I see a rose of red Elizabeth Santos |

This is really beautiful. There really is, no place like home. I believe that home is where I heart is, and all we have to do is search to find it. Hugs, Deb |

Pleasantly written. To come back home is nice and on his birthday is even nicer. Melton [This message has been edited by 2dalimit (edited 07-29-2001).] |
