Someone once told me that love is happy
That is love is love, but love is a catastrophe.
Someone once told me that love is blind,
That love is life, but love is kind.

Tell me why the heart holds secrets,
Tell me why I say what I say.
Tell me why I have my mind set,
Tell me why I hold today.

Someone once told me that happiness is sorrow,
That happiness is happy, but it can wait till tomorrow.
Someone once told me that happiness is love,
That happiness is life, but it's unheard of.

Tell me why today is long,
Tell me why the sun shines bright.
Tell me why I know this is wrong,
Tell me why we must have fright.

Someone once told me that peace is calm,
That peace is quiet, but peace is qualm.
Someone once told me that peace is content,
That peace is here, but peace is unkept.

Tell me why fright exists,
Tell me why I dream all day.
Tell me why violence has a twist.
Tell me why I feel this way.

THANKYOU! I feel like this all the time- WHY!? and now I know that I'm not the only one. Everything seems to be reflected in it's opposite... I dont know, this poem really does it for me on the philosophical level of thinking.....
