Hello My Notepad

Saying hello to my notepad,
That was in dust for weeks,
Slowly I pick up my pen.
For weeks things seemed be overwhelmed,
I couldn't get myself to
Write a poem, chat online, or make homepage.

Oh let's all those be my excuses.
Midterm is on next Tuesday, project dues next thursday,
And yet here I am,
Wandering through the web.
I don't know what I am doing, yet
Yet I don't want to open up my text.

So hello my notepad, shaking your body,
May dust never return.
So hello my notepad, shaking my pen,
May my desire to seek return.
So hello my notepad, pressing with ink,
May my wits never fade.

I know we don't know each other, but "phew" it sounds like you need a breather anyway....WOW...overwhelmed seems putting it mildly. Good luck on your terms, maybe you can get back to writing soon.

Isn't school almost evil? I mean, there you are wanting to write something, having great ideas, but there's papers and tests and books to read. Before you know it the semester is half over and you haven't written a thing.
I feel your frustration at not being able to find time to write, or worse not being inspired because you're too stressed about tests and papers. Ah, but there's tons of joy when somehow, maybe at 3 a.m. when you should be asleep, you get that flash of inspiration and write something, anything. Vindication, you can still write, you do still have something to say, and your muse hasn't completely deserted you.

In that moment, it's all worth it.
