Vivian Rose Arrives
She had an entourage to meet her
As she came in throught the gate.
She smiled but clung to Mother;
All the hugs would have to wait.
They had waited such a long time
For this child from another shore.
They had love in such abundance;
It could wait a short time more.
She more than met their expectations,
They adored her with their eyes.
Her mother carried her so proudly,
Knowing she'd brought back a prize.
Mother, Daddy and Grandfather
Had flown far to fetch her home.
All the others brought her love gifts,
My welcome present is this poem.
