I had a dream last night, It shocked me wide awake, In it I had lost you, That's really hard to take. Fear now rules my life, Tried to send it far away, It keeps coming back to haunt me, Like a dark cloud over every day. I try so hard to keep it real, And not become that which I hate, But it's taking over the bit I have left, And I'm wondering now if it's too late. For me, for us, for everything, There comes a time to say, "No more, it's over, finished" Time to head another way. An echo in my mind, Reminds me of times before, The people long dead, Still live in my head, With words I cannot ignore. This void, this emptiness, Brought into being all those years ago, Just one event to shape me, Yet fill me with constant woe. I hurt, and hurt, and hurt again, Myself and those that I love, I have fallen for an Angel, Who I feel was sent from above. The war for me is not over, There's a battle still left to be fought, I will not give in, t'would be a sin, And I would then be truly lost. Words on a page, words in my head, All these things, make a thread, Where do you begin, and I end, We are so intertwined now, It fuels my dread. I don't think I can escape, anymore, For there is nowhere left to run, Time to stand at the fore, With a lion's roar, And face the newborn sun. |

That is right. We cannot live by fear. Joyce |
