From smiles and happiness My thoughts turn to anger And hate. The face mocking me In the mirror cannot be mine. Could I be such a joke to you? Just another notch for your Headboard or another disposable friend? How do we get from promies made In the dark with you in my arms To me walking away in a fit of Rage? Tell me please why I hate That smile upon your pretty face And that tight lipped sneer upon mine. So. Here I am, alone again. Listening To seagulls cry laments my heart Will not let me feel.
