The words of a poet are thoughts no longer caged, Like artists’ performances released on stage The words of a poet Are images of dreams, Of passionate love affairs That makes souls scream The words of a poet Are of broken heart sorrows Of two lonely lovers Robbed of their tomorrows The words of a poet Are windows of heart and mind So readers can see emotions Sweet… or of the darker kind The words of a poet Tell of special places That bring us joy and Put smiles on our faces The words of a poet Is the laughter from within Bringing many giggles For other poetic friends The words of a poet Are like paintings on a wall To be freely expressed And shared with us all |

Melton, I thank you for your expressions of the essence of a poet's words. That really is something for us who so practice the art to consider and to give us a sense of satisfaction in. The words you've shared, I think do us all proud. Thanks again, David Every Day's a Blessing |

Oh I really like this. The poet puts his thoughts and emotions down for all to see. Joyce |
