Wind and Eagles Upon the crags where storms are made, The fierce winds sing their serenade. Eagles scream as they swiftly rise To ride the torrents in the skies And though they can't be seen from here, Somewhere in the atmosphere, Riding a river of cold air, The eagles feel at home up there. The earth is but a speck below, But when they feel it's time to go, They fold their wings and plummet down To swoop above the forest's crown And catch the wind to rise once more, To brush the frame of Heaven's door. I wonder what it's like to be So powerful, so wild and free? Wind and eagles call to me! Betty Lou Hebert [This message has been edited by Trillium (edited 07-12-2001).] |

BettyLou~ What a majestically portrayed vision you've shared. Indeed, it soars ~ ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Loved this so poetic. Loved the style and enjoyed the images. You don't have a choice to die but you do have a choice how you meet it. |
