Did I Tell Him? I wonder if I told my dad Do you think he really knew Just how much his daugher loved him, Before bidding him adieu? Did I take his love for granted? Did I lay it on the shelf, Forgetting all he'd done for me, Thinking only of myself? Heavenly Father he's with you In his bright new home up there. Will You tell him how I loved him And I will forever care? On this earth my dear, sweet daddy Came in second unto none. I just can't wait to tell him this, 'Til my race on earth has run. Do You think he really knows it If I left these words unsaid That each night I thank You for him, On my knees beside my bed? He made my childhood magical, And he taught me how to love. But I'm not sure I realized it Until he left to live above. Please God will you send an angel With this message for my dad? Just say that he was the best one Any daughter ever had.
