You definitely nailed the qualities of a good listener.

I have a little problem with the word, "sponging", but it's probably just me and the way my own mind works.
It tends to conjure images of sopping up a dirty spill, and such is not always the case when listening.
I still enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing,
