sitting low in the car i skim along over the black ribbon of asphalt singing breezing flying low enjoying the ride liberated in my own realm exulting in the freedom of leaving it all behind just me and the highway flying low and overhead two doves fly in perfect unison dipping diving climbing some unlearned perfectly beautiful ascetic dance pure free climbing sun glinting on white wings flashes of gray then gone climbing into the clouds out of sight perfect freedom mesmerized at their ballet i sigh and i want i want to fly i want to fly high |

Anne, this is a beautiful poem. I love birds. They are so pretty. They do look as if they are dancing. Hugs Ethel |

Anne~ This is my first treat of reading you~ So, let me welcome you to our Corner Pub~ 'mesmerized at their ballet i sigh and i want i want to fly i want to fly high' You summed up the aerial ballet very nicely~ As an avid bird fancier, I've often had the same wish as you~ Thank you for sharing~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
