**I wrote this for my mom last year for mother's day. it made her cry. I don't know where to begin to thank you, for all the things you've done, For all the times you've been right, for all the kisses and the hugs. I can't begin to count all the times I've messed up, and didn't give ear, All the times I made you mad, and gave your eyes tears. I'm sorry if I never gave you your moment in time, To let you rest, think, or make up your mind. I really don't mean to make you cry, But I don't want all this to pass you by. I know sometimes I can be a real big pain, Not doing what I was told, being insane. I hate it so much when we fight, It's obviously wrong, and could never be right. I love the way that you always know what's wrong, How you can cheer me up, and make me strong. I love it when you plan fun things to do, Everyday, I want to spend time with you. I love you with all of my heart, And someday when we're apart, My love for you as a mother, as a friend, Could never, ever end. I remember when I was a little girl, How you would fix my hair, up in curls, How you would kiss my ow wee to make it feel better, And how you would mail "Santa" my letters. I loved it so much when you would pick me up from school, And how I would tell all my friends, my mom is cool. Never have I stopped saying that, 'cause it's so true, My mother, you, is cooler than cool. I love the way that you always know what's wrong, How you can cheer me up, and make me strong. I love it when you plan fun things to do, Everyday, I want to spend time with you. I love it how you can make me feel loved with just one word, It's a thing only mothers can do, I heard. I miss you so much when you are away, I hate seeing you go, everyday. I'm so thankful that you always return and that you're safe, 'Cause I don't know what I'd do with out you, it's not our fate, To be apart. We're meant to be mother and daughter, I thank you now for making me drink my daily water. You're worth so much to me, I could never tell how much, You certainly have the mother's gentle touch. All I can see in your eyes is the memories and the love, For the existence of you, I thank Heaven above. I love the way that you always know what's wrong, How you can cheer me up, and make me strong. I love it when you plan fun things to do, Everyday, I want to spend time with you. Thanks for always making me put on my coat, And making sure I wouldn't fall out of the boat. For giving me the best of all you had, And for making sure that I was not sad. It's hard to imagine all the stuff you can get done in a day, And still not let your love for me drop away. Thanks for helping with my homework, And teaching me that when I'm lost, tell a store clerk. I love you so much; I hope that you can see, You're so much more than I could ever be. Oh, how I admire you so, you're such a great mother, No one could compare to you, not even a queen mother. I love the way that you always know what's wrong, How you can cheer me up, and make me strong. I love it when you plan fun things to do, Everyday, I want to spend time with you. Thank you so much mom for being in my existence, For telling me what to do, and being persistent. I pray you will never leave, and go away. So now I wish you, "Happy Mother's Day!" there are 2 ways of spreading light: to be the candle, or the mirror that reflects it. -unknown |

Jennifer~ Your Mom is very fortunate to have a loving daughter like you. Just yesterday, I spent hours going through all of the *gifts*, cards, lettered word-thoughts from my four children through the years ... (I'm a packrat ... NEVER throw away anything sentimental) ... and my heart filled with such emotion at re-reading each of their caring thoughts. Yes, I can see why your mother would 'cry' ... I know I did ! Happy Mom's Day to your mother from me~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
