How Are We to Know You (Letter to Popstars) I'm a normal listener, I have never met the stars, So how am I suppose to know who they are? And who am I to judge, Or to say I love them? Hey you, when you're up there on stage, Do you know how many hopes you give away, How many broken hearts all because of you? Do you know every action of you Affect every moment of others? *** How are they suppose to know you Beside through your songs? Yet all I hear are love songs, Heartbreaking, Heart-wooing Empty words that I hear Over and over again. How many of your songs, You can say they represent you? How many thoughts of yours Consider impacts on others? I would really want to know. How else I'm suppose to know, What am I suppose to believe, What am I suppose to trust, If not through your songs That I get to know you.*** Repeat *** (c)April 9, 2003 Eliza Simmons Eliza Simmons ~Every girl has a dream within. They shouldn't but I guess they do influence their audience. Too bad they don't think about that. Joyce |

I would really like to send this piece to backstreet boys... not that I don't like them... I listen to their music... but kinda like somewhat not satisfying with their music. They could have speak of life, nature and others. I mean nothing wrong with love songs...just not too much of that. Eliza Simmons |

Eliza: Interesting poem and why not send it in if you want to. Not saying, they'll read it, but if they did, it might be an eye-opener! Betty Lou Hebert |
