Its funny how we walk along the path of life and time how so many footsteps gone before sometimes help us as a guide I like the tangent people though who stand along the sides who wave a banner painted dark like some foreboding sign its not in mourning not in grief that they wave the inky silks its because they cannot stand the norm mediocrity is not their ilk true...they have their hard times when solitude rapes the mind there's no place then for them to hide no footsteps there to guide my heart is filled with love for them wrapped in their jet black shrouds tears stain their blotchy cheeks their minds filled with doubt grey clouds I choose to love them anyway because the take a stand not for money, nor for fame but because they can. I find my hands fit theirs and find their eyes meet mine we sit and talk or take a walk til everything feels fine I may not reach the faraway end as the road goes ever on but sure as I may I'll talk with them and learn their tangent songs. " and I dream of her always, |

I'm not sure I understand your full meaning in this poem but you did a good job of whetting my curiosity. Joyce |

I'm kind of ditto with Joyce, I have read it twice and I like it, the way it reads but I not quite sure if I am understanding it properly. Love reading all these great writes. |

- smiling - I don't know if I could explain it... aside from this.. on occasion in most of our lives...we meet people...unique....and distinctly ' themselves ' ...they have their own ' tune ' let alone march to a different beat... I keep meeting them..the one this poem is for...is especially brilliant...yet sore hearted...and I find myself powerfully drawn...not so much to the hurt...but to the beauty of her mind and soul... hope that helps...sorry for being so...ethereal. hey I get your meaning completely. I always admire those who can keep their own unique way. Nicely done. Just one thing, check spelling. Eliza Simmons |

SolticeSon~ I've read this three times. Not because I didn't understand it ... but, because I did~ This is one of those poems that stalk the mind and calls one back again and again. Thank you for that, poet~ *Huglets* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

"I choose to love them anyway because the take a stand not for money, nor for fame but because they can." My favorite lines! I love this, and I hope you're still taking the stand we were talking about earlier. Good luck and keep them coming. I awake to a world I don't want. There is no transition for me. I am in heaven. I am in hell. |
