A golden sun fills a bright blue sky,
Warming a once cold earth.
Urging dormant seed to give sprouting a try,
And calling for Spring's imminent birth.

Birds of every color and shape
Flit playfully on the air,
Shrugging off Winter's cape
With their acrobatic flair.

Old dogs napping in sun-soaked fields,
Horses stand lazily by the gate,
As the new season her power she wields.
Spring has arrived, she's rarely late.

Nature's creatures begin to move.
Searching for this year's mate.
Each one in their own groove,
As Spring they do anticipate.

Once brown pastures
Now filling up with green.
Spring's tonic, and Winter's cure
A prettier sight never seen.

Trees and shrubs put on their greenery
Preparing for their debut.
Blending in with Spring's scenery,
And standing proud and true.

As the earth begins to taste,
The very essence of Spring.
There isn't anytime to waste,
As nature's choir begins to sing.

Singing to all their sudden joy;
At Spring's most timely arrival.
Never shy, and never coy,
Just thankful for their survival.

Gone are Winter's icy winds,
And gray clouded skies;
Changing colors they now blend,
As for Spring they do cry.
