A tiny girl arrived
Just a few days earlier
Than expected
For the 4th of July
Was her due date

She could have came
On her grandpa's birthday
But one more day
She chose to wait

She's number one grandchild
On her mother's side
A very special baby
In her all her families eyes

We were all so excited
To view her photo
By email
And we're getting ready
To make trails to her door

Her grandma says
She favors Grandpa
And her Aunt is digging
Out old pictures
To prove her face is
A carbon copy of hers

Everyone's excited
For they can't wait to hold her
Cheek to cheek
And tell her how much they love her
Our precious bundle of pink

(Just had to make this announcement!!)please excuse a new Grandma's excitement!

I'm sure a day will come when you can show this to her to let her know how happy everyone was at he arrival. I can imagine times in a young persons life when that would be a welcome proof.

Thanks everyone..I had a very enjoyable time getting to know her during her first two weeks at home. She is a darling and so adorable. It feels great to finally be a grandma!
