We used to sing together, you and I, But seemed to lose the urge as time went by. The magic that we found within each song, Just disappeared for us as things went wrong. Too soon the music faded far away. To leave us with the silence of today. We used to dance together, you and I, In perfect harmony. Now with a sigh, I realize how long since pleasure died In moving cross the floor with you as guide. We walk together now, on roads apart, But you still have some pieces of my heart! I don't know what to say. I'm sorry for your sad, but sweet memory. Very nicely written. Melton |

Thanks Melton. Actually this is about a couple dear to me, who recently divorced. Thanks for your compassion. Betty Lou Hebert |

Your sweet sympathetic heart found the words to show us the conflicting emotions in a divorce. Joyce |

Thanks Joyce: Divorce among those you love is almost as painful for the family as it is for the couple, I think. Betty Lou Hebert |

A song, as are words, is often more a piece of our souls than we realize...and perhaps taken in some respect for granted. This is a very touching, deeply touching peice of work. |
