Goodnight Daddy

When every dinner turn out to be a fight,
When all I did, disappointed you,
I wish you never gave me life.

Isn't...a crime
That I hate... reading?
Am I...unworthy,
A daughter that dishonored you?

When every dinner turn out to be a fight,

I know you want me to have the best,
But can't you accept me...for who I am?
Sometimes, I don't want to live,
When I face all facts written on my mirror.

When every dinner turn out to be a fight,
When all I did, disappointed you,
I wish you never gave me life.

Can't we...rekindle our love,
And live together as a family?
Can't you...forgive me?
Even if you can, I can't do it for myself.

...Yesterday albums,
Today torn and lost its color.
...Yesterday memories
Today only appear.. in my dreams...

You can waste a lifetime trying to make amends for 'supposed' sins, real or imagined. If this is a real-life situation for you, I'm sorry indeed
but beating yourself up isn't going to help at all.  Love yourself and be gentle with yourself - you are the child of a very loving, kind and forgiving Father. Be Happy!

Eliza;  I'm really sorry you are feeling so down.  I think you are too hard on yourelf.
I remember the picture of you, that was posted for awhile with your poems and I saw a lovely young girl, who looked bright and interesting to know.  Inside yourself that girl is waiting to appear again.

Sometimes your poetry touches a subject soooooooo familiar to us all ... hey, how's about giving that (daddy) a great big *HUG* ... now ... yes, right now !

Just as young people are going through this particular event for the first time in their lives ..... so are parents making that same first-time tour at parenting~
Neither of them always get it right .... but, down the road ... the hearts meet on a path of caring and love !

After the night I've had, this poem fits perfect for my life.  No one EVER lives up to anyone's expectations.  I know from a life lived trying.  This was very good.  Hit it straight on.  I hope to see more.
