Yesterday Red Leaves Red leaves dance across the air, Softly caress my cheeks. Brown leaves break free and retire To the soil of the earth. Brown leaves mix with red leaves paint The blocks with patterns of Mosaic. All leaves are floating In the air in celebrating...the new wed. Autumn touches people in various ways, To me it reminds me of you. In yonder autumn, we had our first dance. In yonder autumn, we shared our goodbyes. Red leaves were your lovely words, Softly suduced my trust. Brown leaves were your solitudes, Build up a pile of withered hope. Brown leaves mixed with red leaves Gave us strains, that slowly pulled me away... All leaves are falling In beckoning, that it is all over. (c)Feb 22, 2003 Eliza Simmons P.S. I was hoping to tell a story with this one, unfortunately I think I failed, it just didn't come out of my pen. P.P.S I written a poem to thanks all of you, but the thread is moved to "Reflection..." section it is called "Promenade (a poem for all) " ~Every girl has a dream within. |

I liked this, it did tell a story. I'm a reader - not a writer. |

Eliza: A lovely poem and it does tell a story, so don't be disappointed in it. Betty Lou Hebert |
