I hear you at daybreak my brothers somewhere in the distance your voices are not mournful like our cousin the wolf but filled with excitement and fervor you speak of the sunrise to come of the day that begins and you admonish us to enjoy it and become whole "The greatest of all faults is to be conscious of none." |

Gift of wisdom in your lovely poetry...one with the earth and one with ourselves and God! Ellie A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails. |

Thanks for reading, Ellie. I hear the coyotes in the predawn each morning, as I go out to start my truck and warm it up before leaving for work. They are on a high ridge across the river from us. Their shrill voices, which sound very musical and celebratory, always remind me to appreciate the day. coyote "The greatest of all faults is to be conscious of none." |

How nice this is. I'm a reader - not a writer. |

coyote: I enjoyed this poem very much. We too have coyotes around us and often hear them, though not nearly as often as we used to. People are moving into the country and the coyotes suffer for it. Very nice poem. Betty Lou Hebert |

This is super. Don't see to many of them here anymore. They have taken off with my cats a couple of times but I solved that problem - I got a dog instead. I be me BUT who does me be? |

Thanks for reading, cupcake. I'm glad you liked it. Thanks Betty Lou. These coyotes have always been over there, as far back as I can remember, we have heard them. Thanks Spirit. Sorry about your cats, around here they like to eat our sheep. "The greatest of all faults is to be conscious of none." |
