ANTICIPATION

My heart
Is in seclusion.
Cloistered away,
Where it cannot be reached.
If and when I feel,
Really feel, love again,
My heart will be released,
To meet in joyful anticipation,
The wonder of new life,
And to withdraw no more.
How different,the dark that scares us,
From the dark, behind our eyes,
That we hide behind to protect us
