RECOLLECTIONS I have committed to memory Your touch, Your body and mine, Fused together In an unbreakable bond. This precious closeness, Is retained In the recesses of my mind. How thankful I am, For the ability To remember you so clearly. You remain indelible on my heart, How sweet the words, Murmured, In the throes of passion. I recall every one, And the remembering Causes exquisite pain. There have been other lovers Since you, Undoubtedly, There will be more, In my unending search For a love to replace, That which I had with you. If you had left me for another I could have hated you And been free, Instead you were taken in death, Leaving so many things Unsaid and undone. Our relationship Is like a book, Half written By a discouraged writer Who can see no end in sight. But how grateful, Truly grateful I am For the presence of you, In my life, If only for a short, But memorable time. I am an enigma, even unto myself. |

Don't know if this is "truth, lies (or) imagination" but it is soooo beautiful. It makes me sad even if it isn't true and if it is, I hurt for you. B. |

I too lost my very first true love to death. I have always thought bad as it is it is better for me than betrayal would have been. At least I kept the sweetness of remembrance. Joyce |
