A Waiting Game Each day, I watch icicles grow, Until they form a gleaming row Of crystal spears, that bar my view And so there is just one thing to do. With broom in hand, I go outside. Plow through the snow with giant stride And knock them down to clear the pane, So I can see outdoors again. Within a day or two, I see, They're growing back determinedly, But I know something that they don't. In May, I'll be here and they won't! Oh real cute Betty. It is always nice to have the last word. I haven't seen icicles for years. Love, Joyce |

Cute, cute, cute. Loved it. Wish we had real winter weather instead of just rain, rain and more rain. Barbara |

Barbara: Glad you enjoyed the poem and thanks for reading. We are having a most unusual winter here in Northern Idaho. No snow! Can't believe how mild it has been. This poem was written a couple of years ago. Betty Lou Hebert |

Betty, This is really cute. I'll try to keep this in mind when we get snow that makes it hard for me to see out my windows. Dawn |
