The Replay God gifted me with it last night; A lovely dream staged in the past. Somehow, I knew it wasn't true, But oh, I wanted it to last. My children three, had starring roles As those small beings they were then. My dear, lost son with his red hair, Pressed to his mother's heart again. My daughters too, were just the same As when their all in all was I, And their dear dad, so young and whole, Without a thought he'd ever die. It seemed so natural and real, Can it be forty years ago Since this was my reality? The one I never more can know? The pictures of that happy time, Deep in my memory vault have stayed, Stored there 'til unexpectedly They are in blessed dreams replayed. By; Joyce 01/10/03 |

Oh, Joyce, this is so heart wrenching. Although, thank the Lord for dreams to bring back our loved ones who have since passed, or to take the darkness from our lives for awhile. Enjoyed this. Chris "Hope" is the thing with feathers- |

Those memories are a gift, for sure, aren't they, Joyce? Time has a way of going much too fast. Tender poem, Joyce. |

Sometimes I think if we didn't have our memories, our dreams wouldn't have a playground to gather from. Sounds like you had a very sweet dream, and you expressed it very well in this poem. |
