Boxing day... you opened up my letter Sent to you via a thousand pulses, To hear...a goodbye I finally made up my mind. My emotion used to Run high when you Dropped a line to my front door Or Surprised me with your debates. I... I had tried my best To be your best friend. Yet... yet I still don't know...your mind. On yonder autumn, we began our friendship... Now the year has come to an end, So I'm biding goodbye with warm blessing... Maybe we won't ever meet again, But I know... I know I still care... Some friendships don't work out. This is the strange part of beig a human, we go our separate ways. But I am sure he or she is the loser for not getting to know you better. Love, Joyce |

thanks betty and joyce... the letter make me think... We started one Halloween night, When you opened that mailbox of yours To find a greeting from a new friend. One Christmas boxing day, On the same desk of yours, You opened that mailbox of yours To find a greeting biding goodbyes... Eliza Simmons |
