Do They Celebrate Christmas in Heaven

Do they celebrate Christmas in Heaven?
What a glorious sound it would be
If all of the angels were singing,
Gathered round a big evergreen tree.

Will you have some children to read to
As in wonderful yuletides of old?
Will you be the one chosen to tell it,
The tale you once happily told?

Another Christmas without you.
I am missing you still, my dear son.
But if they have Christmas in Heaven,
Then perhaps you will not miss the fun.

I know the dear God must have noticed
How you like to spread Christmas joy.
Perhaps He will let you play Santa
To a little angel girl or boy.

I can see those small cherubs jostling
To be the one to sit on your knee,
While you tell them the old,loved story
Of how Christmas Eve first came to be.

Your children now grown, have memories
Of those happy Christmas Eve's of old.
As they listened wide-eyed when you read
The sweetest narrative ever told.

Someday they will hold your grandchildren
And with loving tones tell them of you;
Their wonderful dad who loved Christmas,
And then read them the old story too.
