Boxer in the Ring Standing in my corner, staying light on my toes. Soon two boxers shall come to blows. The rush is great inside my head. As I glance toward the corner red. Be still my heart. Lest she burst apart. "Ready. Box." calls the referee. All the tension and eagerness breaks free. Swinging and taking punches will then ensue. We punch each other black and blue. The bell rings yet again. I go to the corner of the square pen. My trainers give me more advice. They are good fellows that have no price. Light on my toes. Soon we shall come to blows. Again the bell chimes it in. I am ready to begin. I am the boxer in the ring. |
