I swore I would know when I fell in love, But now I’m not so sure. Somebody has touched my life In an unexpected way, Do I love him? I’m not sure. Could he feel for me this way? And if he did, would I know? We’ve known each other no time at all. Is it too soon to tell? I think I love him. But I’m not sure. I know he is special, one of a kind. I see so much in him. I want to say, “I love you” Would he say it to me too? Maybe he would. But I’m not sure. Is this the beginning of something? Or is it all in my mind? They say, “Time will tell” But will I hear? Will I understand? I’m not sure. I am sure of only one thing: That I treasure what we share. Could we share more? Could this be love? I thought I would know But I’m not sure. |

Even when we think we know, we probably really don't. Great expression of the angst I'm sure we've all experienced in similar situations! |

OhLittleLizzie~ What a heart-wretching read~ Many times I 'thought' I knew ... and each time it was right~ I look at love as something I can give ... and if and when it is given back ... I'm one complete person~ But even if it doesn't come back ... it brings such joy just knowing that I can give to another ... expecting nothing in return and those feelings often give the most satisfying returns~ So, some wisdomed advice, if I may ... always ... always tell another how you feel ... for you may never know that they could be standing there or walking away with the same feelings unexpressed~ Love n' hugs~ ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

I very much liked the style of this poem. Oh, you're definitely in love all right. What I sense is that you're worried that the love is one-sided. And that you'll show your hand before he shows his... this is NOT a poker game, and in this one, keeping a straight face on while you fiddle with your cards might just cause you to miss out on the "chance" that it might be real love. No, don't throw yourself at him, but there are so many ways you can fan the flame, so to speak, if the ember is there, maybe that's all he's waiting for, is for you to turn up the heat a bit. Go for it, girl. Create something infinite today - Smile!!! |

Denise- Thanks for replying! Marge- I hope Im right here. He is special. Thanks for replying. I have told him how I feel.In fact, stupidly enough, I sent him this poem. lol. probably not the right thing to do, but that book of answers has evaded me thus far. Altergo- Thanks for the vote of confidence.Im not one to keep a poker face, just cant seem to do it...lol. Well, whatever happens, he's a sweetheart and I would definitely settle for friendship if nothing else can happen. lol. Thanks for your replys all of you!! Luv, Liz xx |
