           Within there is a demon
            it's hiding deep inside
            it holds onto your spirit
           as it messes with your mind.

           It feeds upon your fears
          and tries to break your will
         keeping your thoughts racing
       your mind not allowed to be still.

         There is no rhyme or reason
         as to why it stays hiding there
        consuming all of your thoughts
       each day turns into a nightmare.

          It slowly invades your soul
        and it makes you want to shout
      it's that little voice inside your head
       it's that demon that we call doubt.

So true. Doubt is such a diablo. Beautifully expressed here, I think it will strike a chord with all who read it.

I have met the demon from time to time ...
but have learned to call him out
sometimes in my rhyme~

He can sulk and banty
but there is no doubt ...
He has lost his identity ...
for I have called him out~

I have passed on grabbing many brass rings in life because of the "D" word! However, whenever I was able to cast the doubts back to the devil's domain, I was given wings from the heavens above and I was able to fly successfully!

i know this demon well..have even given in to it. youv'e captured this one well...give it to God and cast it out and it won't win.
