The story of the poet begins not
long ago when he had lost all faith
and was about to give up.
Then an impossible dream became
reality and all hope returned to me
as i realized all was not bad and that
despair can be beaten back even in the
darkest of hours.
A night spent with a friend changed me
forever as hope began to come back into
my life like the beginnings of dawn just
before the light.
The night over and the dream come true
the poet thought all was good then the
world was swiftly romved from below his
feet and he fell into the darknes below.
He struggles to hold on, when he realizes
something that he realizes from before...
Thus the storyteller of poets was born
when all hope died out of the lostpoet,
and his cool heart denied all around him
a silent vigil begun yet again and another
story just begun...

Welcome to Passions Storyteller, and especially our little corner. good first effort. Free verse well has it's place among us...
