Did you ever feel as a child when at night alone walking there was someone in the trees waiting and silently stalking. Down an urban street with trees the street lights playing tricks you didn't want to turn and look afraid you just might trip. Afraid if you stopped to look from in the trees they'd come so you just keep walking faster until you have to run. And when you reached your house with the sounds of family you turn to look and realize there was nothing in the trees. White Rose: This certainly brought back memories of when I was about ten years old. I liked to go to church in the evening, as they always had special children's programs and I had to walk past fields of trees to get there, with much the same results as you have so well outlined. Betty Lou Hebert |
