It's summer time, which means long hot days in the pool. Days turn into evenings and the pool begins to chill. "Bedtime! Time to get out!" A little boy runs to his father "Daddy, I'm so cold!" His father wraps him up in That Big Warm Towel that's bigger than him. As I watch the man hugging that towel with the head of a boy barely popping out, It reminds me of my youth. Reminds me that I never had this experience. It makes me want to run to the man's arms and have him hug me too. That Big Warm Towel, How nice it would be... |

Interesting poem...thoughtful and sad. Nothing can deter a poet, for he is actuated by pure love. Who can predict his comings and goings? "Thoreau" |

Torrie~ I think this is precious ! I know JUST what you mean .... Oh, the hug of a fella with a towel ... snuggling the warmth back into me ! Just a precious thought. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
