With the setting of the sun on the horizon again. The dusk of the evening, once more, comes to an end. The night draws a curtain down over the sky. As the long sleepy shadows slowly fade and die. Twinkling through the backdrop of the black endless dome. The stars hold the secrets from so many unknown. Lady moon sailing through boundless space Elegantly glowing with beauty and grace. The tranquil outpouring of her silver beams Embraces and recognizes so many dreams. The enchantment of her radiant light Reveals why she is the Goddess of Night. |

A nice visual you have presented here Eloise... ------ The tranquil outpouring of her silver beams Embraces and recognizes so many dreams. The enchantment of her radiant light Reveals why she is the Goddess of Night. ------ Great work... regards, sudhir Death, be not proud, though some have called thee, Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so; - John Donne |

"The night draws a curtain down over the sky." Eloise, each line is lovely, but this one sends me. I love the night, the moon and the peacefulness of this poem. ~ Claire Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?......Henry David Thoreau |

I must admit, Eloise, that from the title I was expecting a dark poem but your words have brightened my day. Thankyou. Eric. "We are the music makers and we are the makers of dreams." - Willy Wonka. |
